The Pacchera Antichità firm is situated in the heart of the commercial and historic center of Rome, between Piazza del Popolo and Piazza di Spagna. The firm continues the family enterprise which started up three generations ago. The first phase of the family activity saw the gathering of a variety of antique objects collected from noble Roman families as well as from other regions of Italy, especially in the central-southern area.
At that time buyers were mainly prestigious antiquaries and interior decorators, from Rome and other Italian cities. After the war, horizons widened with the opening of international markets, above all in England. During the last 20 years, interest has focused on furniture and furnishings belonging to the neo-classical period (the first half of the 19th Century), above all the Biedermeier. During this period numerous illustrations of our antique furniture and other antiquities have been published in well-known magazines like “AD” and “Antiquariato”. It has always been our policy to dedicate much precision to the restoration of antiques, thus rendering them as functional as possible while respecting their authenticity.
