The furniture on view in our showroom principally
belongs to the Biedermeier period (1815-1848): escritoires, chest
of drawers, wardrobes, consoles, tables, armchairs, living-room
furniture… and many other items that made up the typical
furnishings of that period. The items come from the Austro-Hungarian
Empire and from Northern Europe. This particular focus does not
exclude furnishings belonging to the neo-classical
period, as well as the Empire
and Restoration
Periods, that can smoothly fit in with the Biedermeier
style. Our firm also offers a small selection of charming painted
furniture-Tyrolese, Bavarian, and East European – mainly
wardrobes and chests. For wall decorations we have oil and water-colour
paintings of the 19th Century and the beginning of the 20th Century
(landscapes, portraits, still life), engravings, lithographs,
mirrors with natural wood or gold-coloured frames. We also feature
a vast assortment of objects and knick knacks that date back to
the neo-classical period working up to the first quarter of the
20th Century: high-quality French and German tableware in porcelain
and ceramic, engraved or painted Bohemian crystal-ware, exotic
and precious wood boxes, ideal as jewel or cigar boxes, small
vanity dressing tables with mirror and set of drawers.
